Experience
I am a CRLA International Certified Tutor. I am the current tutor at Sage Learning Center at McHenry County College for all accounting/finance/taxation classes. I have experience tutoring special needs students, and currently serve as Supplemental Instructor for Intermediate Accounting 1 & 2. Previous Assistant Site Manager for the Center for Economic Progress Tax Clinic at MCC. I enjoy tutoring; I love the look of "oh, I get it" in my student's eye. I absolutely love accounting and I think it shows in my tutoring and my enthusiasm for the material. I do give discounted rates to students that see me on a regularly scheduled basis. I've taken a large variety of classes including Basic Accounting 110, Financial Accounting 151, Managerial Accounting 152, Cost Accounting 236, Principals of Finance 245, Intermediate Accounting 250/251, Business Law, Individual Income Tax, Advanced Income Tax, IRS Practice and Procedure, Intermediate Accounting 3, Advanced Financial Accounting, Auditing 1 and 2, Government and Non-profit Accounting, Investing, and numerous other classes (too many to list) to round out my degree. All classes were completed with a 4.0. I recently co-authored a supplemental workbook for Financial Accounting students, which has been adopted for all of the appropriate course sections at MCC.
